Jet2, the UK's largest tour operator, has announced new holidays and flights from London Gatwick Airport as part of its expansion to 14 bases nationwide. The airline will operate from the UK's second-largest airport to 29 destinations, including mainland Spain, Greece, and Turkey.
The Gatwick fleet, consisting of six aircraft, will serve locations such as Portugal, the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands, Malta, Italy, Croatia, Bulgaria, and Cyprus. The first flight from Gatwick is scheduled for March 26, 2026, heading to Tenerife.
Five of the planes stationed at Gatwick will be the new Airbus A321neo models, recognized as the most fuel-efficient and sustainable in the industry. These aircraft reduce fuel consumption and emissions per seat by over 20%.
The expansion is projected to create over 300 jobs in the local area, covering roles in cabin crew, flight deck, engineering, and ground operations.
