Thousands of demonstrators gathered at No Kings rallies in The Villages, protesting against President Trump's policies.
Villagers joined millions of Americans in rallies across the nation, with an enormous crowd gathering near the entrance to Lake Sumter Landing.
A media coordinator for the No Kings rally, Villager LaRae Donnellan, estimated that over 5,000 demonstrators turned out at the two locations in The Villages.
It was amazing, gratifying and exciting.
Many young people participated in the rallies, and several residents wore colorful costumes while waving their signs.
