June Lockhart, best known for her roles in Lassie and Lost in Space, has died at the age of 100 due to natural causes at her home in Santa Monica.
A family spokesperson, Lyle Gregory, confirmed her death, stating it occurred on Thursday. He also shared that Lockhart remained engaged and happy until the end, reading the New York Times and LA Times daily.
"She was very happy up until the very end, reading the New York Times and LA Times every day,"
Lockhart was known for portraying strong mother figures, including Ruth Martin in Lassie. However, she insisted that offscreen, she was different from the characters she played.
