Tyler Harvey led the way as Illawarra finally got their NBL title defence back on track with a crushing 116-89 win over Brisbane.
The Hawks produced a devastating 25-3 run in the opening six minutes, setting up a match-winning lead. This win comes after a tough start to the season, with Illawarra entering the match with a 0-3 record and having just been smashed 117-88 by fellow strugglers NZ Breakers.
The team had also parted ways with import guard JaQuori McLaughlin in the lead-up to the match, adding to the early-season turmoil.
