Major Victory Against Outsourcing
UNISON celebrates a significant win against outsourcing, with members from Dorset preventing the introduction of a subco that would have affected 1,700 facilities staff.
“Every time we’ve seen a subco, we’ve launched a campaign against it – and this was no different,”
said General Secretary Christina McAnea, who has led national opposition to subcos since 2017. This victory is a testament to the power of organising and a huge win for porters, caterers, housekeepers, and other NHS facilities staff.
