Aimin Xu, Associate Professor, HONG KONG (CHINA)

Dr Xu is an Associate Professor at Dept of Medicine and Dept of Pharmacology and Pharmacy, The University of Hong Kong. Dr Xu mainly works on antibody production, metabolic disease, biomarkers, and diabetes. Dr Xu has helped to establish an antibody and immunoassay service center in HKU for local and overseas researchers in biomarker discovery, assay development, and clinical validations. Dr Xu developed over 20 immunoassay products that can be used for basic and clinical research, drug screening and diagnostics. Dr Xu has current research interests in adipocytes as a source for biomarker discovery and drug development, and evaluation of serum adipokines as biomarkers for risk prediction, early diagnosis and therapeutic monitoring of diabetes and vascular disease in Chinese population.
