Hydro One Selects AtkinsRéalis for Bowmanville Switching Station Expansion
AtkinsRéalis Group Inc. (TSX: ATRL), a global engineering and nuclear services company, has been appointed by Hydro One Networks Inc. for a multi-year Owner's Engineer role to expand the Bowmanville Switching Station. This substation is located opposite the Darlington Nuclear Generating Station in Ontario.
Purpose of Expansion
The expansion will facilitate the integration of four planned Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) by Ontario Power Generation at the adjacent Darlington New Nuclear Project site, supporting the power grid connection.
