Jamie Snowden will cherish the 2024/25 season for setting new records and reaching key milestones. Beyond the numbers, it marked real progress for one of Lambourn’s most ambitious trainers.
He closed the campaign with 62 domestic victories, £807,146 in prize money, and his first Grade One triumph through Julius Des Pictons in the Oddschecker Sefton Novices’ Hurdle at Aintree. Although missing his Grade One hero for much of the current season, Snowden has a strong group of promising horses ready to continue the upward trend.
With more than £300,000 already earned and over 35 winners secured, Snowden stands a genuine chance of surpassing the £1 million prize-money mark for the first time in his career. His approach combines consistency, enthusiasm, and an expanding stable of young talent.
"It was a wonderful time last season. We have been very lucky that for the past three seasons we have bettered the total from the one before. We had sixty-two winners and won over eight hundred thousand pounds in prize money last season which was great, and we had our first Grade One winner."
"We had been knocking on the door a bit, and we had been lucky to win some nice races, but none recognised as a Grade One, so it was great to knock that off the list."
"Just looking around the place we have some really exciting young horses. Hopefully, it is onwards and upwards."
Jamie Snowden enters the 2025/26 season with strong momentum, a confident outlook, and his sights firmly set on breaking the million-pound milestone.
