The Isle of Man will mark Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day with solemn ceremonies to honour those who lost their lives in conflict. Citizens across the island will observe a two-minute silence at 11am on both Sunday, November 9, and Tuesday, November 11.
Douglas City Council will host the 2025 Remembrance Sunday service at St Thomas’ Church, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at the War Memorial on Douglas Promenade.
The parade will be led by the Douglas Town Band, Standard Bearers, military representatives and the Mayor of Douglas, Councillor Steven Crellin.
On Tuesday, November 11, Harris Promenade will be temporarily closed from 10:45am to 11am for the Armistice Day silence.
“At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.”
The Isle of Man will unite over Remembrance weekend with parades, services, and silences across Douglas and beyond to honour fallen servicemen and women.
