Ben Shapiro (born January 15, 1984, in Burbank, California) is a forthright conservative American commentator known for hosting The Ben Shapiro Show, one of the nation’s most popular political podcasts.
Shapiro was raised in Burbank, within Los Angeles County. His mother worked as a TV company executive, and his father was a composer and pianist. Both parents identified as Reagan Republicans. He grew up in a modest two-bedroom home, sharing a bedroom with his three older sisters.
In 2015, Shapiro co-founded The Daily Wire, a conservative media company that produces podcasts, streamed shows, scripted movies, and documentaries. By 2024, The Daily Wire’s estimated value surpassed $220 million.
