The Princess of Wales will represent the Royal Family at the Armistice Day service held at the National Memorial Arboretum next week.
Catherine will lead attendees in a two-minute silence at 11am before laying a wreath to honor Armed Forces personnel who lost their lives in conflicts, announced Kensington Palace.
The event will include a specially commissioned poem by Arji Manuelpillai, the Arboretum's Poet in Residence. His verses focus on the meaningful connections and bonds formed among military members, themes that resonate deeply with the Princess.
The service will also feature a performance by Black Voices, an all-female a cappella group.
After the ceremony, Catherine will view the newly dedicated names on the Armed Forces Memorial and meet veterans present at the event. She will also interact with children of currently deployed military personnel.
"The poem reflects the importance of connections, experiences and bonds formed between those who serve in the military."
Author's summary: The Princess of Wales will lead Armistice Day observances with a wreath-laying, a commemorative poem, and meetings with veterans and military families, emphasizing her commitment to armed forces.
