The British culinary icon known for his love of linen and fine wine is unveiling his flagship Australian restaurant this December. With the launch of Rick Stein At Coogee, the celebrated chef brings his coastal-inspired cuisine to one of Sydney’s most picturesque beaches.

Flagship Opening at Coogee Beach

Renowned for his hospitality venues in Mollymook and Port Stephens, Rick Stein now turns his attention to Sydney. The new restaurant, opening on December 1, crowns the multimillion-dollar renovation of the InterContinental Hotel above Coogee’s golden sands.

“Sydney’s Coogee Beach is the perfect location for our flagship Australian restaurant,” Stein said.

The restaurant will serve as a central showcase for Stein and his wife, Sarah, who are already known for their ocean-inspired establishments in New South Wales.

Design and Culinary Concept

Head chef Colin Chun, formerly of W Taipei, will lead the kitchen with a menu that celebrates Australian seasonal seafood. The restaurant is designed to accommodate both casual and refined dining, complemented by an adjoining bar offering relaxed seaside elegance.
