Adelaide Metro is celebrating the festive season by providing free travel on all buses, trains, and trams from 6am to 2pm on Saturday, November 8, 2025. This initiative aims to help families easily attend the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant.
The free travel offer returns in 2025, allowing thousands of South Australians to enjoy the state's most popular annual event. The Christmas Pageant, the southern hemisphere's largest public street parade, attracted over 300,000 spectators last year.
To accommodate large crowds, extra buses and trains will run throughout the morning. Additionally, substitute buses will operate along the Glenelg tram corridor due to ongoing upgrade works.
“Adelaide Metro is so pleased to provide free public transport to help children and families get to the city for the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant,” said spokesperson Michelle Spagnoletti.
“We’ll have additional services running on the day, so hop on board and leave the car at home.”
Several road closures and temporary bus stop changes will be implemented across the CBD to ensure safety during the event.
