When Does Stranger Things Season 5 Start?

"Seven years ago, we planned out the complete story arc for Stranger Things," Matt and Ross Duffer wrote in an open letter to fans, per the Hollywood Reporter. "At the time, we predicted the story would last four to five seasons. It proved too large to tell in four, but - as you’ll see for yourselves - we are now hurtling toward our finale."
Season 5 Release Details
The fifth season of Stranger Things will premiere on Netflix on Thursday, 27th November 2025. The season will be released in three parts:
- First four episodes in November 2025
- Next three episodes on 26th December 2025
- Final episode on 1st January 2026
This staggered release is bittersweet but fitting, as the young cast has grown up. Fans are eager to see their next steps and the future projects of the Duffer Brothers.
Variety reports there might even be a Stranger Things spin-off in development.
