Meeting on Hospital Care for Midwest Underway
A meeting to establish a common consensus for a new acute hospital for the Midwest region is taking place at the South Court Hotel, Limerick.
The event, organised by Joe Cooney TD, aims to bring together Midwest Oireachtas members and Chairpersons of local authorities in Clare, Limerick, and North Tipperary.
This meeting coincides with the Minister for Health, Jennifer Carroll MacNeill, opening the new 96-bed block at UHL.
The people who refused to accept the neglect of healthcare in the Midwest [were] the driving force that brought us to this point.
The Mid West Hospital Campaign has welcomed the event, acknowledging the efforts of those fighting for safe and accessible healthcare.
