Canadian lifestyle brand Roots has enlisted actor and creator Seth Rogen for its holiday campaign titled “Anything Roots.” Known for its leather goods and cozy apparel, the 52-year-old company has positioned Rogen as its holiday concierge, offering guidance on gift selections.
“Customers were coming to us and saying that anything from Roots is considered a great gift,” said Roots CEO Meghan Roach, noting the insight came from surveys and social media feedback.
According to Roach, the company was pleasantly surprised by these responses and decided to build the campaign around that sentiment. It was developed entirely in-house, grounded in customer insights and engagement.
While the campaign does not center on specific products, Rogen appears in signature pieces such as the brand’s Landscape Sweater. Roach highlighted that Rogen embodies the approachable and humorous spirit of the brand.
“He’s so approachable, from a personality perspective, and he’s so engaging. A lot of the content he creates is light, funny and approachable, and I think that reflects a lot of what Roots is, too,” she said.
