Jesse McIntosh, an 8-year-old from Mansfield, Missouri, hopes to be like Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. and become a medical engineer.
Jesse was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) at 3 months old and recently became the first pediatric patient in St. Louis and the youngest patient in Missouri to receive an implantable extravascular cardioverter-defibrillator (EVICD).
Thanks to the biotech innovation and his care team at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, Jesse is on his way to making his dreams come true
Jesse is playing shortstop for his youth baseball team this fall.
