Sony has introduced cloud game streaming to its PlayStation Portal handheld device. Initially designed for streaming games over a local network, the Portal now supports cloud gaming in beta form since last year, allowing play without a PS5 console.
The Vectrex Mini, a compact version of the classic vector graphics console, has been launched on Kickstarter, attracting attention from retro gaming enthusiasts.
Fairphone, known for producing smartphones with ethically sourced materials and sustainable, easily repairable designs, is entering the US market for the first time. Rather than launching a phone, the company’s first product in the US will be a pair of repairable headphones.
Previously, Fairphone’s devices were only available in Europe. Although the /e/ Foundation had offered some Fairphone models in the US with the de-Googled /e/OS Android at higher prices, Fairphone itself had not directly sold products in the region.
Fairphone CEO Raymond van Eck told Reuters: “The company is bringing its first product to the US… but it’s not a phone. It’s a pair of repairable headphones.”
This move may pave the way for Fairphone to eventually sell their sustainable, repairable smartphones directly to US consumers.
