A Ukrainian cultural delegation recently visited schools in Budapest, bringing music and hope to students amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The event was organized at the invitation of the Ukrainian ambassador to Hungary, with Professor Fedor Shandor participating.
Volunteer soldiers, who have been defending Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war, met warmly with the pupils of Ukrainian-Hungarian schools. The delegation aimed to showcase the richness of Ukrainian culture through music, words, and songs.
Previously, the delegation toured the Netherlands. At the Budapest event, children and teachers enjoyed the bandura music played by Merited Artist of Ukraine Taras Stolyar, who skillfully combined traditional Ukrainian sounds with modern styles. The emotional voice of Merited Artist Yuriy Ivaskevich deeply moved the audience, and Mykola Serga notably touched the young listeners with his song “Home.”

Mykola Serga addressed the children: “We have come to you today, and we believe that very soon you will come to us… home.”
