Chinese filmmaker Yi Zhou has accused actor Jeremy Renner of threatening to contact immigration authorities and of sending her explicit images without consent. Zhou, 34, stated in several Instagram posts that the “Hawkeye” star, 54, initiated contact with her in June 2025 through direct messages and WhatsApp.
Zhou alleged that Renner sent her multiple unsolicited and inappropriate photos. Over time, the two began a romantic relationship and collaborated on two film projects, including a documentary titled “Chronicles Of Disney.”
According to Zhou, an incident occurred at Renner’s home in Reno while they were discussing production details for the documentary. She claimed that he drank an entire bottle of wine alone and became enraged during the meeting.
“I was discussing about the doc logistics, then he drank a bottle of wine alone and got angry and angry yelling for two hours,” Zhou told the Daily Mail.
Zhou said she shared her location with her team, parents, and Disney colleagues out of fear for her safety.
“I had to lock myself in a room to be safe praying he would not come into the room at night as he was really angry. I did not say a word, I was so scared for my life.”
Despite her fear, Zhou reportedly reassured a colleague that she would be safe staying at Renner’s house. The Daily Mail also published messages allegedly exchanged between Zhou and her Disney associates during the incident.
Zhou accused Jeremy Renner of harassment and threats during their collaboration, describing a disturbing confrontation that left her terrified for her safety.
