Remembrance Day Parades 2025: Bus Service Changes on Sunday 9 November

Temporary route adjustments will affect some bus services on Remembrance Sunday, 9 November 2025. The parades notified to NCT include the following, though others may cause brief disruptions.

Two-Minute Silence Observance

At 11:00 AM on Sunday 9 November and Tuesday 11 November, bus drivers will observe the two-minute silence. Where it is safe, drivers will park their buses and switch off engines. The company encourages passengers to join in this national moment of remembrance.

Free Travel for Serving Personnel and Veterans

NCT offers free rides from 8 to 11 November 2025 for all serving personnel, cadets, and veterans. Passengers must show valid ID or wear their uniform when boarding.

Road Closures and Bus Diversions

Calverton Parade Impact

Sky Blue 61 service will be affected between 09:00 and 12:00 on Sunday 9 November due to a parade in Calverton. The following stops will not be served:

East Leake Road Closure

Main Street in East Leake will close from 10:30 to 11:45 on the same Sunday. South Notts 1 will be diverted via Main Street, Castle Hill, and Loughborough Road.
