The University of Manchester is taking this feedback seriously and enhancing its learning and development opportunities to help every colleague build a thriving career.
Introducing My Development Catalogue
This November, the University is launching My Development Catalogue — an online platform that enables staff to browse, register for, and complete professional development courses. Upon finishing a course, participants will receive instant certification.
Learning Opportunities for New Staff
New colleagues are automatically enrolled in the Essentials suite every Tuesday and will get an email invitation with access details. Completing all the courses is an essential part of induction, and line managers are encouraged to ensure timely completion.
Ongoing Learning for Current Colleagues
Existing staff will receive reminders when their certificates are about to expire, encouraging them to renew their essentials training. The University remains committed to continuous learning through refreshed training materials and new workshops.
