Fans of "Stranger Things" are anxious as the fifth and final season approaches. Stars Charlie Heaton and Joe Keery have kept details under wraps but hinted at a compelling conclusion.
When asked about the fate of Hawkins amid Vecna's invasion, Heaton and Keery remained discreet. However, they suggested that the action-packed season will both impress and emotionally affect viewers.
“I really do think it’s a triumph this year. You know, we filmed for a whole year. It’s massive,” Heaton shared at the red carpet premiere in Hollywood.
Heaton added that the cast and creators gave their best, blending a decade of their work and feelings into the show.
“I’ve seen the first five [episodes] — they brought their best work to this. You’re seeing our lives for the last 10 years and you’re seeing our feelings and [The Duffer Brothers] and their work all kind of come together. We like it.”
According to Heaton, viewers have no idea what lies ahead, describing the season as “huge” and “pretty special.”
Keery expressed a similar view, suggesting the final season will wrap up the story neatly, leaving no loose ends.
“I can’t say much about what it was. But, for me, it was one of the most rewarding days on set,” Keery recalled about his last day of filming.
He reflected on the rarity of such closure in life and said the chance to conclude the series "in style" was very fulfilling.
Charlie Heaton and Joe Keery promise that Stranger Things’ final season is an emotional, carefully crafted conclusion that will both thrill and move longtime fans.
