Footy legend Brendan Fevola has shared an unsettling experience where he became the victim of a strange home invasion over the weekend, fearing he and his family might be robbed.
Fevola, a father of four, was getting ready to take his youngest daughter, Tobi, rollerskating before the unusual incident occurred. As they were leaving the house, he turned around and was shocked to see an elderly woman and her dog standing in his hallway.
“Oh my god, I’ve had an intruder,” Fevola told the Fifi, Fev and Nick show. “I turn around and see this old lady with a dog walking into our house with a dog and the dog just comes in and I go: ‘Hello?’”
The former Carlton and Brisbane player initially became suspicious, concerned the woman might be scouting his home, especially as the incident happened on Halloween weekend.
“I was like: ‘Is this person scoping my house out? Get old people to come into my house and see what you’ve got and later on you get robbed’,” Fevola said. “I was like: ‘Is this a set-up?’”
