Florida Gov. DeSantis on Insurance Reform
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis stated that insurance reform in the state has contributed to a 6.5% average rate reduction among the top five auto insurance groups this year.
“As of the end of 2024, auto insurance had been arguably the most inflationary item of any of the baskets of things people look at for how households are being affected by inflation,”
He also noted that the insurance market has benefited from faster catastrophe recovery, with declines in auto insurance rates being a rare occurrence in the country.
