Chris Padilla extended his undefeated streak in the UFC with a decisive victory over Ismael Bonfim at UFC Vegas 111. Padilla dominated most of the first round by targeting Bonfim’s lead leg and continuously pressuring him against the cage.
As the fight progressed, Padilla’s relentless attacks began to take a toll on Bonfim, who noticeably slowed down in the second round. Near the end of the round, Padilla managed to take Bonfim down and delivered a powerful series of ground strikes.
“With a minute to go in the round, Padilla got Bonfim on the mat and unleashed a series of brutal ground strikes, forcing referee Chris Tognoni to step in and call for the stoppage.”
The referee stopped the fight at 4:30 of the second round, awarding Padilla a TKO victory by ground and pound.
