Australian Olympic swimming star Ariarne Titmus has shared significant personal updates following her retirement from competitive swimming at the age of 25.
Titmus recently relocated to Melbourne to live with her partner, Mac Powell, an investment analyst. Reflecting on this change, she said:
“It's just happened this week, new beginnings, a fresh start, a new chapter. Mac and I are living together.”
Although leaving Queensland was difficult, she finds comfort in having family and many friends in Melbourne, some of whom have moved from Tasmania.
She expressed satisfaction with her choice to end her swimming career, highlighting her enjoyment of a more typical lifestyle. This includes simple pleasures like cooking dinner at home and sharing a glass of wine with loved ones.
Titmus noted the positive effect of not having early morning training sessions, saying:
“It took me a while to make the decision... and I've definitely made the right one.”
Ariarne Titmus embraces a fresh start in Melbourne with her partner and finds joy in a relaxed lifestyle after retiring from elite swimming.
