Electronic Arts and Capital Games are marking the 10th anniversary of Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, a popular collectible turn-based strategy game. This milestone highlights the game’s decade-long presence in the Star Wars mobile gaming scene.
In collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, the developers announced new content scheduled for release in November. Since its launch in 2015, Galaxy of Heroes has consistently ranked high on app charts, with over 100 million downloads across the App Store, Google Play, and the EA App, according to EA.
The update will introduce fresh gameplay modes, new characters, and enhancements to accessibility, aiming to renew the experience for both returning veterans and newcomers.
A major highlight is the introduction of the Coliseum, a large-scale arena mode centered on dramatic and intense combat.
Inspired by Star Wars in-universe entertainment and classic arena storytelling from film and television, this new mode takes place on Batuu, the same planet featured in Disney Parks’ Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Electronic Arts and Capital Games described the Coliseum as a mode “designed around spectacle and high-stakes combat.”
Author's summary: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes celebrates its 10th anniversary with a major update featuring the Coliseum mode, new characters, and quality-of-life improvements to engage players old and new.
