The fourth Twenty20 international between New Zealand and the West Indies was abandoned due to rain on Monday after less than seven overs of play.
West Indies had reached 38-1 in 6.3 overs after being asked to bat when a second rain interruption ended the match at Nelson’s Saxton Oval.
Alick Athanaze, who scored 21, was the only wicket to fall when he misjudged a James Neesham delivery and was caught by Daryl Mitchell.
Amir Jangoo remained unbeaten on 12, and captain Shai Hope was not out at three runs.
In the series, New Zealand leads 2-1 with the final match scheduled for Thursday in Dunedin.
