On Monday, 10 November 2025, Jetstar announced its largest expansion ever from Melbourne Avalon Airport. The airline is launching new international flights to Bali, resuming services to Adelaide, and increasing flights to Brisbane. This expansion will add over 330,000 low-fare seats annually through Melbourne's secondary airport.
Jetstar’s Bali route will be the airline’s first international service departing from Melbourne Avalon, marking a significant milestone for the airport’s main carrier. To celebrate, Jetstar has launched a 48-hour sale on all Melbourne Avalon routes, with domestic fares starting at $29 and Bali fares from $199.
This new Bali service provides travelers from Melbourne, Geelong, the Surf Coast, and Bellarine Peninsula with direct access to one of Australia's top overseas holiday destinations, known for its beaches, culture, and hospitality.
"This major expansion will help local customers take off more to new destinations, while attracting tourists to support Victoria's economic development."
Alongside the Bali launch, Jetstar is restarting flights to Adelaide and adding more services to Brisbane, further boosting connectivity through Avalon.
