Singer Madison Beer recently visited Bru in Los Angeles, right after walking in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and revealing news about her next album, locket, set for release on January 16. The record, her fourth studio effort, is both written and co-produced by Beer herself.
During the conversation, Beer opened up about the emotional experience surrounding her announcement. Just before revealing the album, she shared a glimpse of its vinyl edition during a short livestream.
"I wasn't anticipating to cry after I posted it," said Beer. "Right before I posted it, I had a sample of the vinyl in my bed, went live for literally 30 seconds just to get people excited, and I started shaking. I ended the live, posted the announcement, and suddenly started hysterically crying. I don’t know why."
Reflecting on that moment, Beer described it as a turning point that marked a shift in her life and artistry.
"I just think it's kind of the end of an old chapter, the beginning of a new one. There’s just so much, so many feelings that come along with it," she added.
For Beer, locket represents both closure and rebirth—a deeply personal project capturing her emotional evolution as an artist.
Madison Beer opens up about the vulnerability she felt announcing her album "locket," describing it as both an ending and a fresh artistic beginning.
