South Australians are advised not to consume Aussie Sprouts Alfalfa Sprouts produced by Parilla Fresh following a national recall prompted by potential Salmonella contamination. This action comes after a joint investigation by health and food authorities due to a rise in a rare Salmonella infection type.

The company has voluntarily recalled the affected product while further testing and investigation are underway. Across other states, multiple alfalfa brands from Parilla Fresh are also being recalled, but in South Australia only Aussie Sprouts Alfalfa Sprouts are sold and subject to recall.
