Heber selects firm to redesign City Park, promises community input

Heber Selects Firm to Redesign City Park

The Heber City Council has chosen a consulting firm to design improvements for City Park, aiming to create a community "living room".

Enhancing the park is part of Envision Central Heber's plans to revitalize downtown. The council hired Terracon, a Salt Lake City consulting firm, to help shape the project.

They have done many projects like this throughout the state. They know what they're doing.

Councilmember Sid Ostergaard expressed his approval of the choice, citing the company's experience with grant applications and creative funding methods.

That's huge for us as a city. We want to self-fund this park and the design of it and the building of it, via going after grants and making sure that we're not using taxpayer money to do this.

Ostergaard emphasized that all ideas for the park are still conceptual. The city promises community input in the redesign process.
