Boeing Unveils CxR Tiltrotor Drone Concept
Boeing has revealed its CxR unmanned tiltrotor concept, a modular drone designed to complement the US Army’s Apache and Chinook helicopters.
The CxR (Collaborative Transformational Rotorcraft) concept was first revealed during a media briefing ahead of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) 2025 Annual Meeting and Exposition.
Boeing engineers described the aircraft as a high-speed, unmanned tiltrotor able to perform reconnaissance, strike, and transport missions.
The vision is for a new class of unmanned tiltrotor aircraft to operate alongside crewed platforms in attack, reconnaissance, and logistics roles.
