Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of the Capital Region is celebrating 30 years with an annual walk at Washington Park in Albany.
Over 13,000 people are expected to participate this Sunday to raise money for breast cancer research. The event starts at 10 a.m. and the walk begins at noon.
Since 1993, Making Strides has raised nearly $1 billion nationwide to fund research, patient support, and life-saving services. Last year, the Capital Region raised over $850,000.
