Many people are touched by the smile of St. Carlo Acutis when they see his photo, according to Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin.
Carlo spoke of Jesus above all with his radiant, luminous, and smiling face.
In a Mass marking the first liturgical memorial of St. Carlo Acutis, Cardinal Parolin celebrated at the Mary Major Church in Assisi at the Shrine of the Renunciation on October 12.
St. Carlo Acutis was canonized by Pope Francis on October 10, 2020, and died in 2006 at the age of 15 due to leukemia. His body rests in a glass case on the side of the nave of the church.
