Zimbabwe's Deputy Minister of Health and Child Care, Slayman Kwidini, attributes the decline of the local pharmaceutical manufacturing industry to Western-imposed sanctions.
“We have been discussing this issue for more than 20 years.”
Minister Kwidini cited companies such as Datlab and Caps Pharmaceuticals as major casualties of the sanctions during a question-and-answer session in Parliament.
The Minister stated that the country did not face such challenges before the sanctions era.
