The Ellis football team, led by Will Hileman, Bryce McCray, and Cam James, emerged victorious in a thrilling Tri-County Conference championship game against South Davie, winning 36-34 in double overtime.
The game, played at War Eagle Stadium, was a closely contested match between county rivals, creating a raucous environment for the players and spectators.
As
the kind of game where there really wasn’t a loser, the 36-34 decision was an all-time classic, with the Jaguars pulling out a super-close thriller.
