Microsoft publishes Windows 10 $30 ESU (Extended security updates) in the Store

Windows 10 Extended Security Updates

As of October 14, 2025, Windows 10 has reached its End of Life, but users can extend its lifespan through the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program.

To enroll, users can click "Enroll now" on the Windows Update page and link their Microsoft account, with EU users requiring only a Microsoft account, while those outside the region must also sync Settings to OneDrive.

Alternatively, US users can use 1,000 Microsoft Rewards points to sign up for ESU.

For those who prefer not to use a Microsoft account or do not have Rewards points, Microsoft offers a $30 ESU subscription, now available in the Store.

Microsoft told Windows Latest that users in the EU only require a Microsoft account for free Windows 10 ESU.

Author's summary: Windows 10 ESU available for $30.
