Match play made in heaven: How Vivian Lu became a Longhorn
Vivian Lu, a junior golfer, made a quick decision to change her scenery after her coach, Mary Lou Mulflur, announced her retirement from the University of Washington.
Lu, an All-Big Ten First Team member, had multiple suitors, but Texas emerged as the obvious choice after her official visit to Austin.
"I was deciding between USC and Texas, and so I came on my official visit (to Austin), and everything here was so amazing, the facilities, the coaches, the girls on the team," Lu said. "I didn’t even take my visit to USC, I just made a decision.
