Royal Enfield's electric Himalayan Testbed has been making headlines since its first reveal at EICMA 2023.
The electric version of the Himalayan was first seen at EICMA 2023, stealing the limelight from its petrol-powered sibling, the Himalayan 450, which was launched in India.
The initial testbed bike was a rough and ready prototype, with a Heath Robinson-esque design and commercial-grade electronic systems.
Its design included a battery motor system that wouldn’t look out of place in the movie Short Circuit.
Images shared by Royal Enfield earlier this year fueled speculation about an imminent arrival into the electric adventure segment.
