The Grand Junction Tigers Boys Soccer Team has a zero in the loss column through eleven games, after a shutout win over the Fruita Monument Wildcats.
Grand Junction entered play against the Wildcats 8-0-2, and one of those wins was a 3-1 Tiger victory earlier in the month.
For the first half of the game, defense ruled the day, with neither team able to generate many shots on goal, and when they did they usually were not very clean.
In the second half, the Tigers got the opening they had been looking for, when an inbound pass by Grand Junction was initially sent back by the Fruita Defense, but it went right to Angel Perez Leon who booted it past the Wildcat’s goalkeeper, Carter Hopkins for the lone shot of the game that got past Hopkins to make it 1-0.
Author's summary: Grand Junction Tigers remain unbeaten.
