Milwaukee's First Innovation District
The city of Milwaukee has officially designated its first innovation district, aiming to reduce bureaucracy and foster a tech cluster.
"The opportunity is now," said Steve Glynn to the Community and Economic Development Committee.
Common Council President José G. described the district as a "critical first step toward building a 21st-century urban economy." The designation was unanimously approved by the Common Council.
