Director Scott Cooper spoke to MOJO about his experience working with Bruce Springsteen and Jeremy Allen White on the new biopic, Deliver Me From Nowhere.
Cooper recalled that Springsteen visited the set just four days into shooting, which added a new level of pressure to the project.
“Look, any time you’re making a film about a cultural icon and someone who’s as legendary as Bruce, there’s always trepidation, right?”
Despite the pressure, Cooper noted that Springsteen was not directive, allowing the filmmakers to bring their vision to life.
The biopic is based on Warren Zanes' 2023 Nebraska-era biography and stars Jeremy Allen White as Springsteen.
