Health Centers in Massachusetts Stop Trans Care for Minors

Some health centers in Massachusetts have stopped offering medical services for trans youth, including puberty blockers and hormones.

The decision comes after pressure from the Trump administration, which has led to hospitals and clinics across the country to cease providing such care to minors.

At least two health centers in Massachusetts, including Fenway Health, a nationally recognized LGBTQ health center, have canceled medical services for trans youth aged 18 and younger.

Fenway Health posted a notice online about the change, which took effect on Oct.

Outer Cape Health Services, another health center network, has also announced that it will follow suit.

The Healey administration is working on a plan to ensure continued access to care for trans youth.
