Marine Communications Experts Compete in Inaugural Thunderstruck Competition

Marine communication experts participated in Thunderstruck, a first-of-its-kind contest of field radio and combat skills.

A team of four Marines from the headquarters regiment of 1st Marine Logistics Group emerged as winners among 15 squads in the inaugural Marine Corps-wide field communications competition.

The competition, hosted by 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, tested teams of Marines operating radios, networks, and communications gear in the field.
