Chery Confirms Australian Release of Jaecoo J5 Electric SUV in 2026
Chery will launch the Jaecoo J5 in Australia early next year, a new compact SUV available in three powertrains.
- Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV)
- 1.5-litre series-parallel hybrid
- 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine
The Jaecoo J5 supposedly builds on the success of the mid-size J7, incorporating the same design language.
The J5 will go on sale in early 2026, with full specifications and pricing announced closer to launch in February.
The BEV option will have a range of 402 kilometres (WLTP).
