Florida's Chief Financial Officer, Blaise Ingoglia, announced a record-breaking $58 million in unclaimed assets returned to residents in September.
“We’re working every day to reunite hardworking taxpayers, families, and small businesses with the money they have earned.”
The Florida Treasure Hunt program allows residents to search for unclaimed funds on its website, with claims available for individuals and businesses. According to state data, 1 in 5 Floridians have unclaimed funds, including forgotten bank accounts, insurance payments, utility deposits, and stock dividends.
The $58 million returned in September is the highest amount in Florida history, with Ingoglia's office working to reunite residents with their earned money.
