The Regional Industry Support Enterprise (RISE) has released a comprehensive study on the demand for childcare services in the eight-county RISE region.
The study, prepared by Georgia Southern University's Center for Business Analytics and Economic Research, found that quality childcare is not only a family issue, but also an economic one.
By understanding the real challenges related to childcare, meaningful steps can be taken to support families, childcare providers and employers. Quality childcare isn’t just a family issue; it’s an economic one. When parents have reliable, affordable childcare, our entire region benefits.
The study was funded by Norfolk Southern's Thriving Communities grant program and was conducted for the eight-county region of Bryan, Bulloch, Candler, Chatham, Effingham, Evans, Liberty, and Screven.
