The Suzuki Jimny has added a digital speedometer as part of a technology and safety update in Japan.
This basic modern convenience is now available on the pint-sized Suzuki Jimny four-wheel-drive, although it may come at a cost, with prices in Japan rising by 8 to 16 per cent.
The 41-year-old Toyota LandCruiser 70 Series has beaten the Suzuki Jimny to adding a simple dashboard convenience fitted to most new cars.
